A work signed MPOIRIER is not just a painting.
It’s energy. A vibrant echo between your emotions and my colors.
An invitation to slow down, to feel, to marvel.
Each brushstroke is a trace of hope, a breath of light—my own way of saying:
“You deserve beauty. Every single day.”
This creation is a fragment of soul.
Mine, offered to yours.
It might not change the world…
But it could transform your space, your day, your perspective.
What if it was the beginning of a collection that truly reflects you?
Imagine it in your home. Feel it.
An MPOIRIER is more than an acquisition—it’s a true encounter.
“45° 25′ 13″ N 73° 58′ 58″ O (inspired by the l’Ile-aux-Tourtes bridge)“ is currently available at Galerie mp tresart, and of course, here.
To choose an MPOIRIER is to embrace originality.
“It’s totally you, Mélanie! You’re the one who builds bridges between artists and their art, between artists and those who love art, and between humans in search of love and beauty!! It’s totally you… Are these paintings metaphorical self-portraits?” L. Blouin ”
An avant-garde painter, bold and generous, Mélanie Poirier creates the art of communication in the series of works “A Bridge Between Humans and Words.” An ingenious metaphor for the language that establishes social bonds.
From this highly accessible contemporary art and its mixed media, we discover a world of colors from which emerge bridges, symbols of words, telling the story of Quebec, sometimes taking the form of congestion. These are points of connection between humans, often fragile and unpredictable.
” In love with words and associating them with her approach, Mélanie Poirier also expresses in poetry the source of her inspiration for each of her works, a most transparent exposure. She creates a radically modern work that breathes a breath of fresh air into us every time we look at it. She dares to share with us all everything about her that strongly binds her to us. ” – France Jutras, Maison de la Culture de L’Avenir
A Bridge Between Humans and Words.
Creating in series means patiently building a territory of meaning. In A Bridge Between Humans and Words, I wanted to build bridges between the interior and the exterior, between the intimate and the collective, between the visible and the inexpressible. Through these works, I represent not only physical bridges—the majestic ones that span the rivers and cities of Quebec—but also symbolic bridges: those that unite people through speech, sight, listening, and poetry.
Each canvas is a journey. The wood, the pigments, the textures, the traces of graphite: all dialogue in a visual language that aspires to express what words sometimes struggle to express. White breathes. It leaves room for the necessary silence, the silence where emotion is born. Abstraction here is not an escape from reality, but a dive into it, through its finest vibrations.
This project was fueled by a dialogue with the words of poet Jean-Michel Fontaine. His engaged and sensitive writing guides the viewer’s gaze and deepens the experience. Together, we sought to create a space for exchange, a collective work in tension between image and language, between body and though.
Behind the scenes, there’s a commitment: to contribute, in our own way, to a more attentive, more humane world. A portion of sales from this series is donated to the Dédé Fortin Foundation to support suicide prevention and mental health. Because sometimes, all it takes is a bridge to prevent a fall.
A bridge between humanity and words is an invitation: to cross, to encounter, to understand. To never miss it again.
